Starting on Friday, April 11, at 10 am until Saturday, April 12, at 10 pm WJMF DJs will be “locked” in the studio to raise money for charity.
The event is called “Held Hostage,” and all the money raised will go directly to the Meeting Street School for developmentally disabled children and adults in Providence.

The Bryant community is invited to attend College Night hosted by WJMF at the Providence Bruins on Saturday, March 29, at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence. Get to the Dunk at 6 p.m. Game time is 7 p.m.

WJMF will be holding air checks for all current DJ’s on WJMF. These air checks are done with Mike Montecalvo in a one on one session in which you can learn how to improve your show and gain radio knowledge. The sign-up sheet is located in the station lobby on the white board. You must do an air check with Mike to have a second semester show. WJMF 88.7 will be holding an All-Staff meeting on Wednesday November 14th @ 4pm. This is a mandatory meeting for all current DJ’s on WJMF 88.7. Over the past two years the WJMF Board of Directors has done an amazing job of bringing new equipment into the WJMF studios. The original upgrades included all new studio, sound boards, computer systems and recording studio. The second round of upgrades included new processors for the transmitter and professional configuration of the transmitter.
The newest upgrade to WJMF will be the addition of a Burk remote unit which will allow for remote monitoring of the head unit, and remotely operate the transmitter controls.
This replaces our old system of dialing out to the transmitter and manually recording the statistics. This new system can be completely monitored over the web and allow for remote administration of the transmitter.
